The restaurant is situated in Bet Shean in the ancient Sariya area, in a beautiful stone building which previously housed the Ottoman Mayor or the city, Mr. Helboni. The entire menu is made up of home-made delights and include such items as – pasta, baked goods, breads, wonderful salads, amazing fish dishes, coffee and delightful desserts!
Trip Advisor has awarded an excellent 4.5 out of 5.
After the meal we will enjoy hearing Hanna speak about the origins of the restaurant, named after her grandmother, Rosalia, a holocaust survivor. The power of the aromas and tastes she learned from her grandmother's kitchen in her early childhood has been instilled into the restaurant.
Hanna Agiv:
"Food helps people come together, and Rosalia's Café is the place people can come together and feel at home while they're out; it's my dream come true."
Hanna tells of her road to success which was based on patience and faith, taking things slowly and responsibly. Her next goal is to buy the building she currently rents and to turn it into a boutique hotel. This would turn her café-restaurant into a social meeting place in Bet Shean. The enterprise would provide guidance, a home and employment for wayward teenagers who would otherwise have no chance for learning an occupation."
After the meal we'll go for a short tour of the city of Bet Shean including a tour of the local documentary pictures museum, we'll learn about the 'favorite sons' of the city, about their starting point at the birth of the nation and see where they are today.
